Fact-finding tour 电影考察

Once a year we organize a China Film Study Tour for professionals specially focused on the China film festival in Xiamen. Also, individuals or groups can have tailor-made tours all year through on demand. The tours are comprised of a total view of the industry, on-site visits, and meet and match with film makers, technical specialists, investors and distributors. This will result in new business opportunities for the participants.

Film Coproduction 合拍电影

There are strict regulations for film coproduction and/or foreign production in China. For instance, prerequisites for acknowledgement as a coproduction are:

  • The script must be related to China and need to be a joint script.
  • At least some of the footage needs to be recorded in China.
  • One third of the actors must be of Chinese nationality.

We can help with challenges by getting the government permits, and finding the right local partners, including technical support, actors, equipment, locations, and support for marketing and communication, as well as foreign production support in China.

- Internship in Xiamen

To create internship opportunities for students studying filmmaking. This could be in a company or the Xiamen Film Park. Now around 500 companies related to the Film and TV industry are registered in Xiamen.

- Film export to China

The Chinese film market is a growing market with specific characteristics. Bringing foreign films to China one needs to know the proper contacts. Permission is the first step in this process, contract negotiation and dealing with balanced risk and pricing is the second step. We have excellent contacts in the film sector inside China. This service consists of specific tailor-made market scans, business matching, communication support and acquiring permits and contracts.

China Film Promotion 金鸡在欧洲

European film lovers generally have little familiarity with the Chinese film production. The Golden Rooster Awards has an international ambition, as it wants to present Chinese films to an international audience.
We have the expertise to launch the branding of Chinese films for European distribution. The film branding includes two parts:

  • Promoting the China Hundred Flowers & Golden Rooster Film Festival in Xiamen
  • Promoting the China Golden Rooster Awards

We propose to accomplish this through a promotion event during the top European film festivals, such as Cannes, Berlin, Venice and IDFA Amsterdam. Other promotions will be presented at Eye Amsterdam under the name of Golden Rooster Cocktails.
Newsletters will be published containing information and topics about the latest Chinese films.
